Hi Everyone
I just bought this Yangqin on Ebay for $140. It has a a little damage to a couple of the bridges, and needs new strings but is otherwise in good condition. I hope you can see the pic..
I've ordered the strings - a set of 156 and a tuning wrench. I have a good friend who is a luthier who lives in another State who can probably mend the bridges, which appear to be made of rosewood...
I'm wondering whether anyone knows whether it would be okay for me to loosen the strings (without removing them) sufficiently to slip one of the bridges out and send it to him for mending...

,aybe I'm a bit late in answering... no time to surf on the net these days... you can loosen the strings, I do it some times... and when you change the strings you have to anyway. I'd just put a mark (with a bit of tape for instance) on the board, where the bridges are, to put them back in the right place... good luck !
