fascinating stuff.
I'm a bit puzzled by this line though "The hammer form is similar to the Scottish dulcimer hammer".

That is puzzling. I didn't know there was a style of Scottish dulcimer hammer that was distinct from an Irish dulcimer hammer or even many US dulcimer hammers. I wonder to what he was referring that made him say that?
