I have just recently started learning to play the hammered dulcimer. I Love the sound of the instrument and the wide range of play styles and techniques that it lends itself to. My Hammered Dulcimer was made by Chris Foss, its a 16/15. I was reading some of the posts here and found them helpful. I especially like the tip about putting dark fabric under the strings and using a marker on the lower set of strings to make them disappear. I am also looking for information on hackbrett hammers (yes, I already have the dreaded "Hammer Acquisition Disorder") Some of my interest in the instrument stem from listening to podcasts such as marc gunn's (http://www.celticmusicpodcast.com/) and watching youtube vids by dizzid11 (http://www.youtube.com/user/dizzid11)
Thanks Cliff
