Beginners who are interested in finding out the names of popular tunes they should learn, should take a look at the list on the 'Music' page at the: Nonsuch Dulcimer Club Website

;D Since moving back to my home town of Truro in Cornwall, I have become absorbed in the Cornish music scene. There are hundreds of fantastic Cornish tunes which really lend themselves to the dulcimer. Infact, I am thinking of publishing a tune book, dedicated to tunes from the area, specifically for the hammered dulcimer. In the meantime, there is a fantastic book called 'Fooch' which I have used at numerous dulcimer workshops & has proved really popular. It comes with 2 CD's which break down the tunes to make them easier to learn & then play the tunes at speed! Let me know if you would like more info.

Yes Kerensa, always hungry for more info, me!
Anyway thanks for the tip. I've just posted details & a link to this 'Fooch' tune book, over on the Books board. It sounds interesting all right.
I look forward to seeing your own tune book's details being posted there, in the not too distant future!
