If you don't have an ABC program on your 'puter, or they simply fight with your OS, here is a fairly good online converter. It is not perfect, but much better than nothing. I have used it, and it is fairly accurate. O'course, it depends on how accurate the original notation was ;D www.concertina.net/tunes_convert.html

Have a look at AbcNavigator.free.fr - it's a very useful tool for converting and storing tunes in abc. jenny4dulc

I'll check it out, too... Have a copy that i paid for, from Jim Vint, and while it worked with OS Win98, it HATES XP. Sigh. and no, am not ready to switch to mac!

I've only ever owned Macs so I wouldn't know where to start, with an ordinary PC. ;D

groannnnnnnnnn i should KNOW better than to make sech a statement 'round a Scots laddie, shouldn't i? Himself was a 'puter gamer and built his 'puters. So i got the hand me ups. Good deal for me! But now he is off in mac-land, so doubtless i'll be learning.........

The abc converter at Folkinfo.org is very useful for transposing to other keys. Don't forget to check the 'show transposed abc' box. I then copy the abc and paste it into the Concertina.net Convert-A-Matic in order to view and print the .pdf which is of higher quality than Folkinfo's printing.
