My Lil Miracle , Eilidh-Jane joined us on the 20th November ( day before my birthday) 6 weeks early. I had been in hospital for a few months and they decided I was too ill to let pregnancy continue . We are both home now and doing well. The dulcimer definitely helps tp settle her when she is restless, so she must have been able to hear it while she was still ' in the oven '. Perhaps a dulcimer diva in the making....

Aye, she's a wee cracker! Well done. ;D Maybe you should get her one of these to start her off, training her hammering arm! Cheers Dick

What a precious little package, eh? Congratulations. I trust you are doing well now. She is a beautiful little one, indeed. And yes, they certainly do respond to music while in the womb, and recognize it when they hear it out. Wonderful adventure you have going. Is she your first?

Thanks everyone. LOL Dick. I remember banging on a little ,wooden xylophone alongside grandpa playing the dulcimer !
This is my third child, my others are 17 and 11 so there is a little gap.....smiles.
My 17 year old daughter plays drums and clarinet. my son is learning classical guitar and piano.

Wow, Dulcetta, with that you can do - if the generation gap isn't too much of a strain - what in Switzerland we 'd call a "Husmusig" (transalted : House music) : members of the same family playing traditional music together... some of these hold 3 generations ! feast well. merry Xmas and Yule - or is it Hogmanay ?
