I ordered four HD books from folkcraft instruments, in july, and they told they shipped them, but I didn't receive anything. I complained, they told me - more than a month ago - they would ship me the books anew, as soon as they have them in stock. Seems very long to me. ???Has anyone have the same kind of experience with this society ?

I'm sorry to hear you are having bother Nikita.
I actually bought a Dulcimer Brush & a pair of Hammer shaped Hammers from Folkcraft this Summer & although they did take a little longer than I expected, about 3 weeks, they did eventually arrive safe & sound.
To be fair the delay could have been caused, at least in part, by customs, who opened up the parcel & charged me about £12.
I hope this is resolved for you, quickly.
Cheers Dick

OUCH! did they give you any kind of tracking number so you can file a claim? With my ebay sales, shipping to Europe ain't cheap, and it would be a shame for you to sit on empty ducats whilst they take their time shipping. Did they give you a restock date?

Actually, I have only their word : no tracking number (because I chose normal mail : costs already nearly 40 dollars shipping !), and they just told they'd send it "as soon as they have it in stock"). the whole thing costs me 130 dollars ! I'm giving them two weeks more, and then my credit card center will oppose the payment...but I do hate that kind of thing !

g*u*l*p 130$ USD? for FOUR books? You are kind and honorable to wish to keep your credit card company out of this as long as possible, it DOES make the merchants life miserable when there is a complaint. However, you can tell them a date when you plan on reversing the charges, might get them off the stick and doing something. I generally give such warnings before i reverse any charges. It is amazing how well it can work. Man, what 4 books didja order? Like four complete sets of the original Child books, or what?

Sory; I got mixed up between USD and swiss francs : it's 138 swiss francs, but that makes 112 USD. it still is an awful lot of money to lose. And they aren't even polite ! The books I ordered are : - Irish songbook for HD ($12.95) - Scottish songbook for HD ($12.95) - Arranging for HD - reference book ($14.95) - The HD : a treasury of tunes ($25) that makes 68.85 USD, the rest is... shipping ! I gave them till middle october I do hope the books are worthwhile !

Thanks Dick, for the trouble ! actually, I've done all what they say : mailing Folkcraft, asking them what had happened, etc. Everything has been controlled : adresse numbers, and everything. In the last answers they gave me : "order was shipped in July", as if we had had no communication. I gave them till the 15th october, and then my bank will ask for the refund but it really p... me off. Next time I'll ask for a tracking number with the order... But I do hope it won't become a habit with tehse peopole. It's already quite hard to find music specially written for HD...

Hey Nikita, I'm glad you received them at last! For info, I did buy my books through ebay to Donna Missigman. I did receive them in no more than 10 days. I've been really happy and she has a tone of book, CD, DVD, every info someone could need on HD I guess. And you know what? I payed 19,99 US$ for "HD Treasury of Tunes". myworld.ebay.com/missigmanmusic
