HI Dick, something about myself. Okay, here we go: I'm from Germany and I'm 21 Years old. Have been playing the Hackbrett for 15 Years now. I've Played in a few orchestras like the German Youth Dulcimer Group, or Site Gumper (with Jutta Claar). I'm playing the Hackbrett, the Salterio and the Hammered Dulcimer (as from the same Family, of course I play other instruments too, like: Zither, Guitar, recorder and piano). Why I am so interested in Dulcimer & Co.? I love Irish and American Folk, have been to Ireland, to the Cork Festival in 2004 (taught and performed there) and to the US in 2005 and 2006. In September 2006 I started studying Hackbrett ;D (Instrumentalpädagogik) (and:Salterio, Zither and German Folk Musik) at the Richard-StrauĂ-Conservatory in Munich.I will start my 2nd Year this September. I think this will do, won't it??? Happy Hammering Carmen

That'll do nicely Carmen.
It's an honour to have you with us.
I'm sure yourself & Nikita will have lots to talk about & I look forward to learning lots about Hackbretts from you both, in the process.
You started playing when you were SIX!!! WOW!
I wonder, do you have any YouTube videos or sound files of your music, that we might enjoy?
Cheers Dick
