Hello Jimbo & welcome to the Dulcimer Player's Forum.
We are all delighted that you are now a member and we look forward to your contributions to the discussions here.
Please tell us a little bit about yourself, your music & your Dulcimers.
Then, why not hop over to our Where are you? poll and click on your own area! N.B. I'm sorry Belgium isn't an option there, but at least you'll have a SPOT on the ClustrMap!
Cheers 'Ptarmigan'

Hi All
Great to join .I live up on the West Cost of Scotland. Have never seen a dulcimer played up here and nether have anyone else I've met . Stange seeing the droney nature of the beast would be great for Scottish laments . If there are any other dulcimer players out there in the Highlands it'd be great to hear from you.
Have always been intrigued by the MD. Started researching last summer and ordered one earlier this year. Picked up one off ebay and am learning fast!

Maybe that's because it would keep slippin off the kilt! ;D I'm just picturing a Highland Regiment marching into battle, to the sound of massed Mountain Dulcimers! ;D Sorry Jimbo .... well what more did you expect from an Edinburger Sassanach like me? Hope you start a mighty M-D trend up there. Cheers Dick

Hi Jimbo,
I have the same problem down here in Cornwall - there aren't many other dulcimer players around!!! Still, it has it's advantages & it's great to be able to introduce something new to sessions etc. I have managed to talk a few people into getting instruments of their own, so you never know - this could be the start of something big - just keep playing & enjoy it!!! Kerensa X
