;D I just put a wad of dulcimer limericks on the hd page. here is one for hackbrette peoples:
The hackbrette of one Viennese Had a tiny sweet sound sure to please It smelled rank in abuse From its secondary use Slicing hard boiled eggs and soft cheese Guy Banks

And that Nikita canna find me. Although, the band does refer to my dulcimer as the giant cheese slicer..........they're just jealous.........i can slice more cheese than all of the put together, and faster!

Lovely poem, Gypsy ! ;)Actually, once when I was busking with my hackbrett, just before starting to play, a lady passing by asked me if it was a musical instrument. I answered it was a device to cut hard-boiled eggs all the same size for sandwiches. Took her quite a while before she asked me if I was kidding... there's one or 2 for you : know the difference between hackbrett and hammered dulcimer ? hammered dulcimer burns much faster... and the difference between a hammered dulcimer and an onion ? when you cut a hammered dulcimer, nobody cries... ;D

Nikita, I just read this today...great response!!!! ;D Were you busking in Switzerland or over the border??? I love coming up with ridiculous replies to the question of "What is that thing??" Playing dulcimer and uilleann pipes I'm asked that question too often. Chad

Was busking in my home town... quite good money at the time suggestion : pipes are a lure to catch chicken easily and Hd to feather them ;D
