Dulcimike just mentioned these over on the Performance Tips thread & as they sound like a very useful piece of kit, I wondered if anyone else here had used these & if so, what did they think of them?
Also, can anyone here, please post a link to a supplier of a light like this that they could recommend?
I'd like to lay my hands on something like that & I'm sure others here would too.
I've found a couple of U.S. ones : Concert Light & GiglightHas anyone here ever used either of these & if so, do they work well or do they actually cast too many shadows?
Here's one I found in the UK. Has anyone over here tried this one out?

Aye Cooper, I looked at those Book Lights on Amazon, but I think the problem with those, and perhaps with the ones I linked to as well, is that it might not be very easy to attach them to the front of a Dulcimer.
I'll be interested to hear if anyone here has actually used one.

I got a gooseneck light, with 5 LEDs that clips on the front leg of my tristander, and is long enough to look at my sound board in dark conditions. Being the lights are LED the batteries last forever. Got it from solutions.com. Original use was of all things a BARBEQUE light. Pretty silly. works great to see my bridges though.

Thanks for the link Gypsy.
Is it easy to attach this light to your Dulcimer?

Yes, i clip it to the front leg of my tristander. I DID have to line the clip with neoprene, so it would grab the slick aluminum leg. Any soft, rubbery type thing would do the trick. But at rehearsal at the ill lit house the other night, i certainly felt smug.

Hey folks...most people who know me from festivals recognise me by my "miners light" that I wear on my head. LED lights, very bright, 3 AAA batteries last through an all night jam. My wife Paula got it for me from the LL Bean catalog for campers years ago...It's great and I use it to walk back to my campsite after the jams...that is if it isn't dawn by then keeps your hands free, and shines oonly where you aim your head!
