Nikita suggesated this thread & it does seem like a good idea, given the wide variety of string layouts there are for Hammered Dulcimers alone, never mind all the other members of the Dulcimer family.
So I'll make a start with a few basic ones & let the experts post & discuss the whys & wherefores of their favourite set up.
