It's amazing how very different they all are.

Makes me wonder how folks like Carmen manage when they're jumping from one to another!

It takes me all my time to remember which string is which on one type.

Well, like everything, it must be ahbit for some : David Marki, one of the dashingly promising young hackbrett players here in Switzerland, plays Hackbrett, Cymbalum, and Santouri... and Barbara Schirmer switches from Ramser Hackbrett to Appenzeller Traditional just like that...
I was wondering if we keep this thread just like that, or if we put the layouts on the threads of the cencerned instruments : hackbretts on the hackbrett board, Yangquin on its own board... what do you think about it ?

I must say Nikita, I do like the idea of the layouts being posted along with their relevant boards

Then perhaps others might add to them.
