Hi all, I was given my first and only dulcimer I own today back in September, 1982 by the instrument maker Fred Anders. Fred also inspired Neil Hebert in Montreal Canada to start making guitars. I have been playing for the last twenty six years. There are a great number of acoustic musicians and music lovers living here in Northern India. I guess you could say one of the traits of our ashram is music. My instrument is a Appellation elliptical dulcimer lovingly constructed with Macassar Ebony sound box, north American cedar top and Macassar Ebony/Rosewood finger board. One of my pass times is playing my dulcimer for some time just before meditating. Yaknyeti

Hello Yaknyeti,
Hey, it's great to get a chance to hear a little about the music scene in Northern India.
Your Dulcimer sounds very interesting too. Do you have or can you direct us to any photos of it or a similar instrument?
Cheers Dick
