Great stuff Jenny. It's good to see the band still on the go. I've still got the tape you gave me. You make it sound as if these tunes were written for the dulcimer. ps I hope you don't mind, I've put the Andy Fagan Interview that you transcribed online here - Andy Fagan InterviewJack

And thanks Dick. We've been a bit slow getting around to all this technological stuff! My friend Angelika would like Kevin and the rest of us to go and play in Germany. So we just need the invitation! (And a bit of assistance). Angelika is a friend of Nikita - as you'll see from this email I had from her last night - "Last weekend Nikita Pfister was here for a ball/dance night on Saturday and he didn't forget to give your regards to me. In fact he did it in the first 15 minutes after his arrival at my house." Jenny4dulc

Hi there ! great site - and great sound, Jenny the week-end at Angelika's place was wonderful : nice playing, nice band... I even discovered the schwebische food... if you get the chance, do go there ! ;D And if you do, tell me ! Switzerland isn't that far from Stuttgart, and I might be able to get you 1-2 gigs over here. Angelika produced books with tunes (mostly scandinavian, she's a great nyckelharpa player, as well as hackbrett !), very nicely arranged with 2 voices... ;D ;D ;D

Hello Nikita, I'd certainly like to get the band over there; I'll have to work on it. We'd probably need to get an event (or festival) which would give us the scope for doing some English music and dance workshops as well as playing for some dances. Any suggestions??? I've been corresponding quite regularly with Angelika since October, and we've exchanged some of our favourite tunes so we can play them together next time we meet up. I have one of her tune books "TanzMuzik (2001) which I bought from her at the CWA festival in Appenzell in 2003. I also have a couple of other hackbrett books - "Appenzeller Hackbrett-Buechli"- Johannes Fuchs, Walter & Jakob Alder, and "Hackbrett-Fibel" - Karl-Heinz Schickhaus. Jenny.

Well Jenny, there are quite a few festival and Concert possibilities around. If you get to know the time you could be overe here, let me know, I'll forward your site adress and the dates to the organisers I know and try to find you a few gigs. It might be easier in the dance circles.

OK Nikita. It won't be this year; what's the best time of the year to find most festivals with dances and dance workshops? Jenny.

Here - like everywhere, I guess - the best time for Festivals is Spring and early summer... I'll have to ask for the german part of the country. there's a very nice festival in september though, all about dancing : 2 days of flokdance workshops and balls - nearly no concert, but a lot of sessions everywhere (that's where Angelika and me met...) ;D. But the thing is they don't have money , and the groups go there nearly for free (we'll be going there with my Celidh Band)...

What is the name of the September Festival and where is it held? I could contact the organisers and ask about the possibilities - would they be able to offer accommodation do you think? I know about the Festival in Gooik in Belgium, but that's August isn't it? Jenny

Hi Jenny, Here's the link to the Festival in september : www.folkfestival.ch/index_f.phpBut I'm afraid they really don't have money : we get just enough to pay petrol, and we pay the accomodation (it's cheap, but still...). There's possibilities to park a camping car fo free... I don't know about Gooik. In France there's the Festival of Gennetines : gennetines.org/welcome-to-gennetines?set_language=en in July, which is completely dance-centered
