Hi
I am a beginner to the Hammered Dulcimer, just received it 2 days ago. I have a Wood Thrush 16/15 made by Song Bird in the US. I look forward to learning this instrument. I live in Ottawa, ON Canada , but I am a native of Knightswood, just outside of Glasgow, Scotland. I am a singer and have been singing since I was 5. I presently sing with Ar n-Oran Ottawa's only Scottish Gaelic Choir. I use to play the clarinet and I play a little piano and I am learning the Celtic Harp and now the dulcimer. I hope to be able to accompany the choir on the dulcimer as well as myself during solo performances. I sing mostly Folk music and of course Celtic music, both English and Gaelic, so the dulcimer should fit right in.
