Hello, thank you for the welcome! I bought an Icelandic langspil a few months ago and am learning to play it. I am originally from Austria and have been living in the U.S. for the past 8 years.
One of the reasons why I joined the forum (in addition to wishing to be in contact with lovers of these string instruments) was to request help with my langspil which seems out of tune due to heat and excessive humidity (I believe). But that is probably a topic for a thread. I also bought a kantele, a Finnish instrument just last week, and plan on getting a Scheitholt next week - in a way to replace my langspil until the weather changed or I found a solution. I also find that different instruments express different moods and play different strings of the soul:)
